Use your existing Subsonic or OpenSubsonic credentials. They’re stored only in the iOS Keychain, never in plain text.

Common questions.

Which servers does Juliet work with?
Juliet is a client for Subsonic and OpenSubsonic-compatible servers — including Navidrome, Airsonic and Gonic — and works with any Subsonic 1.16.1 server. There is no Juliet cloud; you bring your own server.
Do I need a Juliet account?
No. There's no account to create and no subscription. You sign in with the credentials for the server you already run.
How much does Juliet cost?
It's free to try for 7 days, then a one-time purchase through the App Store. No subscription and no recurring fees.
Can I listen offline?
Yes. You can download albums, playlists and individual tracks. Downloads continue in the background while the app is suspended, and original files are saved without re-transcoding.
How does Home & Away work?
Each server stores a local address (e.g. http://nas.local:4533) and a remote one (e.g. https://music.example.com). Juliet probes local first and falls back to remote, re-probing automatically when your network changes. Same credentials — only the host differs.
Does Juliet support CarPlay and lyrics?
Yes. There's CarPlay Now Playing, plus Lock Screen and Control Center controls, gapless playback, and time-synced lyrics with a Lock Screen Live Activity (full plain lyrics when no timestamps exist).
Where are my credentials stored?
Only in the iOS Keychain, never in plain text. Juliet talks only to the server you configure — nothing else.
Is there an Apple Watch app?
Yes. Juliet includes a watchOS companion app. It requires iOS / iPadOS 17 or later on iPhone and iPad.

Troubleshooting

If something isn't connecting.

Check both addresses

Juliet probes your local address first, then falls back to the remote one. Make sure both the local (e.g. http://nas.local:4533) and remote (e.g. https://music.example.com) hosts are reachable.

Confirm server compatibility

Juliet works with Subsonic 1.16.1 and OpenSubsonic-compatible servers, including Navidrome, Airsonic and Gonic. The same credentials are used for both addresses.

Switched networks?

Juliet re-probes automatically when your network changes, so leaving and rejoining Wi-Fi will trigger a fresh local-then-remote check.
